The tennis player, Gaël Monfils, is primarily known for his outstanding performance in tennis. But we had no idea of his passion for poker. He says that sometimes he plays poker even a few minutes before the start of a tournament. Extremely focused when he plays to save a ball or look for the winning shot, he is not least during a poker game. He even says have poker in his blood. The maps tattooed on his arm confirm it.



When the champion is featured with other French tennis players, at the Davis Cup for example, they spend hours playing poker together and this more for passion than for money. Gael says he has the heart divided between being a professional tennis player and his love for poker, even if he always evokes without hesitation his consuming passion for it. However, he admits that like any true professional who respects himself, nothing can replace the dream of winning a Grand Slam and lift the trophy at Roland Garros.
